System Control

Unified control software for all Obsidian Systems' air, land and sea platforms.
  • No technical background required.
  • Built for field conditions.
  • Simple to use.

One Control Interface, Multiple Autonomous Vehicles

Obsidian System Control is a self-contained Linux-based application designed for real-world operations. The system runs on a rugged Mil-spec tablet paired with an Obsidian Systems custom built handheld controller interface, allowing operators to work comfortably on boats, shorelines, or field sites. Operators can:
  • control and supervise multiple vehicles at once
  • upload and modify autonomous missions
  • access live video and sensor feeds
  • monitor vehicle health and system status
  • command platforms safely without technical expertise

  • nautical chart navigation
  • real-time health and safety indicators
Designed so frontline staff can operate autonomous systems confidently and safely.

Scalable, Future-Proof Architecture

Adding a new Obsidian vehicle is a small, well-defined software change, thanks to our modular software architecture. This ensures:
  • rapid deployment of new platforms
  • consistent operator training
  • true multi-domain interoperability

Multiple Vehicle Control

From one screen, an operator can:
  • switch between platforms
  • command multiple vehicles
  • oversee simultaneous maritime and subsea missions

Autonomous Mission Planning

Operators can easily:
  • design autonomous routes
  • upload missions directly to the vehicle
  • adjust behaviours and mission parameters
  • retask platforms in real time
Supports both structured patrols and dynamic missions.
