Chimera

Maritime multi-role platform

A high-accuracy maritime deployment system designed for autonomous delivery to GPS-designated targets zone. Optimised for Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) operations, the system accommodates a wide range of payloads in modular containers for a wide range of applications.

Autonomous Operations

Purpose-built as a fully autonomous vessel with flexible decision-making capability. Ideal for emergency response, environmental protection, data collection, border patrol, and defence. Designed for fully automated, beyond-visual-line-of-sight operations, with onboard systems able to adapt to unscripted events without real-time piloting.
  • Adaptive mission behaviour in changing environments
  • Automated response to evolving threats
  • Robust onboard decision hierarchy
  • Secure C2 links for mission updates and tasking

Precision delivery of modular payloads

Chimera variants are designed to accommodate modular payloads for autonomous deployment. Larger variants support correspondingly larger payloads. A shallow draft enables operations in very shallow water without compromising blue-water capability. All variants support sea-to-shore and sea-to-sea emergency deployments, including life rafts, medical supplies, and logistical support. An optional self-stabilising landing pad with drones enables extended reconnaissance.
Defence payload options include sonar buoys, hydrophone arrays, communication systems, micro-submersibles, and micro-boats. The largest variant is configured for multiple ordnance types, from side-mounted missiles to a deck-mounted M242 Bushmaster, and features a payload bay sized for amphibious ATV deployment to support land logistics and fire support.
  • Conservation — environmental monitoring and data collection
  • Humanitarian — rapid sea and shore emergency delivery
  • Patrol — border security, restricted zones, and marine sanctuaries
  • Defence — modular payload compatibility for surveillance and force projection

craft transportation

There are three different size variants of the Chimera and with each are enlarged capabilities.
  • 5.6m* LOA
  • 8m LOA
  • 10m LOA
The smallest variant of 5.6m enables can be transported in standard 20ft shipping containers. All variants have a custom cradle for ship deck transport and a custom launching cart for trailer mobility.
  • Shipping container-able
  • Ship deck transport
  • Land trailer-able

Data Banking

Every boat has a suite of optional sensors for data collection most relevant to operational requirements. Over time every operational deployment builds a growing repository of operational data, enabling deeper accuracy, stronger pattern recognition, and continuously improved mission performance. Every deployment enhances future results.
  • Deployment logs, precision metrics, and environmental data
  • Expands data interoperability with other organisations
  • Supports post-operation review and optimisation

power and propulsion

There are two options of propulsion for each variant. Electric propulsion offers the highest level of logistical independence and is ideally suited for very remote and blue water operations. In order to ensure maximum power availability the craft have both solar and kinetic power harvesting capabilities. A fuel option for coastal operations is also available.
  • Self energy harvesting
  • Electric power and propulsion
  • Fuel powered option for coastal operations
